- Conditions: 90F – wind 5-10 SW
- Dry Race: Bill, John, Jason – Wet Race: Dan
- Boats: Blue Fleet 10, Red Fleet 10
Report: A good day for racing. Weather was warm. We expected winds 5-10 but ended up with winds hovering around 5kts.
Blue Fleet: John Milaire and Bob Gill vied for 1st place in all three races in the Blue Fleet. Milaire edged out Bob in race 1 and 3. Bob ran away with race 2 by a adjusted time of 30 seconds. Milaire is getting close to clinching the season title for the Blue Fleet with a total of 956 points for 15 races. Bob trails by just 15 point and Jim trails by 25.
Red Fleet: So far Barb is running away with the Red Fleet title for 2019 with bullets in 5 of her last 9 races and a total of 856 points. Sunday’s race was a little different. Bill edged out Bard for a upwind start and the two ran away from the pack. Bill managed to take race 1 by 15 seconds while Barb took the next two by 20 seconds each. Bill had a good showing on Sunday but it will be tough as Bryan and Ted looms at his heals by 30 and 35 points.
With only three more race days skippers are left with just nine scoring races. Due to the nature of the season the end of September and October look to be fertile ground for solid competition in both fleets. One question remains – who will go home with top 3 honors in November?
